Prison is supposed to be a place to send violent people and make the rest of us feel safe. It should also work as a deterrent for committing crimes. What they are is big money. $80 billion a year big.

As advertised, here is our episode of governmental pork slash bureaucracy. Seems fitting since I have no doubt that under the Harris administration it is going to grow to an unheard-of size. One thing I believe wholeheartedly is that the democratic party loves to create programs or agencies that sounds good but does absolutely nothing.

Immigration is an issue that demands serious consideration. It is no exaggeration to say lives are at stake. Many have made the ultimate sacrifice to come to or to get their children into our great land. The American Dream is something most of us take for granted, while many foreigners yearn for it

The political game in my simple-minded brain is one where there are only a few winners and the rest of us. It is mostly because politicians are self-serving wind bags.

Being a good citizen to the world is one of the aspects of America that makes us special. Whether it be military aid or just cold hard cash, we are there for the world. Our government is very generous, with our money by the way, to a tune of over $40billion a year.

Welcome, everyone, to my commonsense view of our world. But I have a feeling that if anyone actually reads this so-called blog, it might be determined to be nonsensical or even fantasy. What can you expect to find here? Nothing groundbreaking, that’s for sure. These weekly installments are just suggestions that I think would be beneficial to our society. I love this country, and I believe we do many things very well, but I think we can do so much better.
